Washington DC Gaels GAA was established
on October 12th, 1988 with their Gaelic Football team, joining the Philadelphia Division. The team had a very successful year by winning the Junior Division and making it to the semi-final at the North American County Board Finals in Cleveland.

the decision of the clubs disbandment at the
Mid-Atlantic GAA Annual General Meeting.
Hampton Roads Hurling Club and Cumann na mBan Camogie Club merge to become the Coastal Virginia GAA at the Mid-Atlantic Annual General Meeting.
The Hampton Roads Hurling Club and Cumann na mBan Camogie Club jointly hosted the first annual Coastal Virgina Cup (CVC) on July 18th at the Princess Anne Sports Complex in Virginia Beach, VA.
